Canberra Multicultural Service (CMS) was proud to be represented by a vibrant delegation of executives and broadcasters at the 2025 National Ethnic and Multicultural Broadcasters’ Council (NEMBC) Conference held in Melbourne.
The annual conference brought together media professionals and community leaders from across Australia to engage in insightful discussions, share best practices, and celebrate the contributions of multicultural broadcasters nationwide. It was a valuable opportunity for our team to connect with peers, learn from sector leaders, and showcase the impactful work CMS is doing across Canberra’s diverse communities.
We are especially proud to celebrate the achievements of two of our outstanding broadcasters:
- Pradeep Timalsina from the Nepalese Program, recipient of the Community Impact Award, recognised for his tireless dedication to informing and empowering the Nepalese community through radio.
- Mohan Dharma from Thendral FM 91.1, who received the Emerging Broadcaster Award, a testament to his growing influence and commitment to high-quality community broadcasting.

We also commend all CMS nominees who were recognised at the event. Each broadcaster contributes to the strength and vibrancy of our multicultural programming, and we are incredibly grateful for their passion and service.
Congratulations to our entire CMS delegation for representing our station with excellence and pride. We look forward to continuing our journey together, creating inclusive media that reflects the voices of all communities.
